A low-cost pet vaccination clinic will be held at Pelican Bay City Hall, 1300 Pelican Circle, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.  The clinic is available for everyone, not just residents of Pelican Bay. Dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier.  Cats must be in a carrier.  Payment for pet vaccinations and services must be made with either CASH or CREDIT/DEBIT CARD. City personnel will be available to process City Registration. This clinic is provided by Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP).  Please visit their website for information about costs and services available.[...]

Although this event is mostly celebrated elsewhere in August, in Texas we choose to hold it on the first Tuesday in October so as to avoid the summer heat.   We will be celebrating here on Tuesday evening, October 4, at CITY HALL, from 6 to 8 PM. Our Pelican Bay Police Dept. will be hosting the event. Representatives of our Police Dept., the Briar-Reno VFD, various city officials and volunteers from the Neighborhood Activities Committee & LHH Church will be assisting in the event.    There will be hot dogs, drinks, snacks as well as fun & games. This will be an opportunity to meet many of our police & fire officials as well as meet & mingle with your neighbors.  MOST OF ALL - LET'S GET OUT AND SHOW OUR SUPPORT FOR THOSE FOLKS IN THE PD & FD WHO ARE THERE TO PROTECT & SERVE ALL US CITIZENS!!!!!![...]

Here we go again! Fall is officially here - still darned hot though! Kids are back in school - whoopie! NOTE: Due to a slight delay in getting the dumpsters delivered, we have extended the period that they will be available to October 30th. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Beginning MONDAY, October 17 thru SUNDAY, October 30, there will again be two dumpsters available for 'Bay RESIDENTS ONLY to use for disposing of your household trash & debris. The dumpsters will be located at the south end of the Water Dept. compound at 1713 Pelican Oval. PLEASE - be responsible citizens and follow a few simple rules: put all trash IN the dumpsters, NOT on the ground. If the dumpsters are completely full they will be promptly compacted or replaced - so please come back later. Also note that NO COMMERCIAL OR MAJOR DEMOLITION MATERIALS are allowed. Please try to avoid blocking the driveway access for city vehicles. Areas will also be provided & marked for disposal of liquids, tires, batteries, scrap metals. DO NOT leave televisions or computer displays. In addition, please note that proper ID's may be requested by citizens supervising the area to verify residency of anyone leaving trash as well as checking on type of trash being disposed of. [...]
